“September Pastoral No.1-Through the Trees” was painted from the same viewpoint as “September Pastoral No.2-Path.” (Private Collection), I simply shifted my gaze and gear 90 degrees to enjoy the new composition. These trees with their gentle color change are very characteristic of Michigan autumn landscapes.
