“Softly, Over the Hills” is a lyrical artpiece. It’s a place imagined where I am looking out at what I’d call a gentle drama in a landscape. I kept thinking of the Bach concerto, “Where sheep may safely graze” so I added in a flock of sheep on the left.

I used impasto and cold wax medium in this painting, so there’s a fair bit of textural difference between the thin background and the impasto greens and deep teal blues and golden yellow in the foreground.

This piece is priced unframed, but I will frame to suit for added cost.
