THE STORY

I'm known for including scissors or knives in many of my floral still lifes. It was even mentioned in a newspaper arts column some years ago!

This pattern began when I first started painting flowers. I was afraid of making over-the-top, sweet floral art and I wanted to keep myself grounded in the naturalist tradition- finding the beauty in everyday objects and occurances.
